Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2009

Best Chilean Carmenere. A wine of enormous power, this is dominated by black fruit flavors and a youthfully blunt texture – a Carmenere far from its ideal point of consumption. The clean lines and firm acidity will help it develop in bottle for at least three years. If you open it now, decant it for a […]

Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

A light eucalyptus note leads to a jammy palate of kirsch, cassis and blackberry liqueur flavors, which cruise through the long finish of mesquite, licorice and dark spice hints. Drink now through 2014. -NW (October, 2012)

Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Pure, ripe and berry-scented, this has noen of the menthol aromas usually associated with cabernet from Puente Alto. Instead, it’s big and sweet, soft and creamy, with a black pepper kick to the tannins. -PT (June, 2012)

Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Editor’s Choice. A real beauty with graphite, minerality and rich, clean, exciting berry fruit and controlled oak aromas. Very pure and stylish Cabernet Sauvignon with fat but balanced cassis and sweet berry flavors. Big tannins lend structure and framework; young like a baby now; will be better and more evolved come fall, winter and over […]

Terrunyo Syrah 2007

The lineup begins with the 2007 Terrunyo Syrah (which includes 12% Cabernet Sauvignon in its blend) in which the fruit was sourced from the Rucahue Vineyard in Rapel. The wine was aged for 15 months in 60% new French oak. The wine’s aromatics are reticent but in the glass it displays an elegant personality, spicy, […]

Terrunyo Syrah 2007

Muscled up and dark, with robust blackberry, tar, spice and mocha aromas. The palate is big and dense but raring to run, with smashing black cherry, berry and black plum lushness. Turns more oaky on the finish, with coconut and mocha. Impressive for New World Syrah. Drink now through 2013. -MS (February, 2012)

Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc 2011

This is about as racy as Sauvignon Blanc from Chile gets. It’s green and melon-like on the nose, with punchy asparagus and lime aromas. It is wide awake on the palate, where citrusy acids push lemon, lime, green herb and lemongrass flavors. It cuts like a razor; drink with shellfish. -MS (February, 2013)
