Gran Reserva Carmenere 2009

It displays a bit more density and richness than the Riberas Cabernet along with an inviting nose of cedar, Asian spices, incense, lavender, plum, and blackberry. Concentrated, lengthy, and moderately structured, it can be approached now but will provide pleasure for another 5-6 years. It is an outstanding value. -JM

Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

It offers up an initially reticent nose of cedar, tobacco, spice box, violets, and black currant. This sets the stage for a wine with layered fruit, savory, spicy flavors, excellent volume, and a lengthy, pure finish. This excellent value can be approached now but will drink nicely for another 5-6 years. -JM

It has a pinched nose of blackberry, cassis and mocha that is well defined, while the palate offers sappy, spicy red berry fruit that is encased in fine tannins and a fresh, crisp, pert finish. Drink now-2015. -NM
