Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

It offers up an initially reticent nose of cedar, tobacco, spice box, violets, and black currant. This sets the stage for a wine with layered fruit, savory, spicy flavors, excellent volume, and a lengthy, pure finish. This excellent value can be approached now but will drink nicely for another 5-6 years. -JM

Marques de Casa Concha Merlot 2009

Thick and dark at every check point, starting with the wine’s minty, herbal, black fruit aromas and descending through a rich, meaty palate toward toasty blackberry and black plum flavors. Spicy, woody and herbal on the finish. A modern, polished, oaky Merlot. -MS (December 1, 2011)
