Amelia

Concha y Toro

At its debut in the mid-1990s, Amelia Chardonnay marked a major new milestone in Chilean winemaking: the arrival of Chile’s first ever ultra-premium Icon Chardonnay. This elegant, distinctive Chardonnay originates from Concha y Toro’s prized estate-vineyards in Chile’s Casablanca Valley, a region responsible for some of the country’s finest white wines due the beneficial influence of cooling maritime breezes from the nearby Pacific Ocean, as well as an ideal soil composition of clay and limestone over a substrata of granite. Soon after its debut, Amelia became the first ever Casablanca Chardonnay to earn a Wine Spectator 90-point rating. Burgundian in style, yet modern and fruit driven, Amelia Chardonnay also enjoys a notable capacity for aging, developing depth, nuance and added complexity over time.
